about

The bane of a musician's journey home after the gig - motorway closures. Anyone who drives at night will be affected by this annoying (but necessary?) phenomenon.

The second single from the forthcoming debut album release from Cole & Ward.

lyrics

Lyrics:

The show is over and it's time for us to go
But before we do, there's something that you all should know
As we get our coats and put on our driving shoes
Got those Midnight Motorway Blues

A musiciaans life, well it ain't so good
It's hard to get good sleep and eat good food
But the worst thing of all is something we can't choose
It's those Midnight Motorway Blues

Highways Agency has give me a frown
The road we came up has now closed down
They're telling us to go the opposite way
I'll be lucky if I'm home before the break of day

The roads we need are closed and it's dark and cold
Trying to make your way back home just makes you feel old
We can't stay at the venue and we can't drink no booze
Got those Midnight Motorway Blues
